Rompetrol sells environmental services company Ecomaster to Oil Depol Service from Constanta, a Romanian owned company, writes Mediafax. The decision was taken by the oil group at the end of June.

Ecomaster main shareholder was Rompetrol Financial Group, followed by Rompetrol Rafinare, Rompetrol SA and the group’s well services company.

Oil Depol is on the market for 16 years, dealing with decontamination services, working  for prestigious energy companies such as OMV Petrom, Conpet, Rompetrol, Lukoil, Transgaz, Termoelectrica or Electrica.

Last year, the company won a contract worth 14.5 million dollars for waste disposal services resulted from drilling activities done by ExxonMobil in the Black Sea.

Oil Depol Service had last year of turnover of 34.5 million lei, a decrease compared to that of 2012, and a net profit of just a little more than 4 million lei, over three times lower than that achieved in the previous year.
