KMG International (Rompetrol) is launching the 22nd edition of the “Career Ready” program, in which 80 students and recent graduates will take part, selected following a complex recruitment process, carried out between May and July. For two months, interns will complete practical and theoretical modules that will refine their knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
“For 21 years, our Internship program has developed and has become a real answer for the Group’s business needs. Over time, we have discovered high school graduates and students with great potential who have become our colleagues and are now performing in their fields of activity. Together with the mentors, we managed to develop a new learning structure, through which the interns deepened their knowledge and learned new skills, and this constantly helps us to continue the transfer of knowledge and grow the specialists that the industry needs,” said Gina Cruceru, Group Human Resources Director within KMG International (Rompetrol).
The 80 interns will be assigned to 6 of the KMG International (Rompetrol) Group companies – Rompetrol Rafinare, Rominserv, Midia Marine Terminal, Rompetrol Quality Control, Rompetrol Energy and Rompetrol Well Services.
Most of the modules that the participants of the program will deepen will be carried out on-site, especially in the Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploiești refineries. Alongside the interns will be no less than 40 mentors, specialists in refining, petrochemicals, logistics or utilities.
Online sessions will also be included, especially for workshops dedicated to developing soft skills. Thus, the interns will also go through the “Leaders Explore” program, which involves five online sessions and will also participate in the “Community Challenge” program, in which they will choose a theme of social interest, through which they can bring about a change in the community.
The interns will receive, at the end of the two months of the program, two certifications: one as a graduate of the Rompetrol “Career Ready” program and one as a graduate of the personal development program, carried out together with the partners from the Leaders Foundation.
Since 2001, the year of the first series of Rompetrol interns, the “Career Ready” program has gathered over 1,500 participants, and hundreds of current employees of the KMG International (Rompetrol) Group companies are former participants in the training programs.
