The professional association of the Society of Energy Auditors and Managers of Romania – SAMER, convenes the General Assembly for the election of new governing bodies and for the approval of the new statute of SAMER.

According to the official communication of the association, the General Assembly is convened for Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 13:00, according to the program of the meeting in the present convocation (in Romanian), which will take place in Bucharest, Calea Victoriei, no. 118, at the headquarters of AGIR – General Association of Romanian Engineers, in the conference room, location reserved by SAMER.

The Association has more than 145 members, who have applied for membership and who have asked for the legal regulation of the situation that has arisen since 24 November 2022, when the first General Assembly of SAMER with legal personality took place. SAMER found that “the self-designated president, Mr Pîrlea Ovidiu, is communicating erroneous messages without any consultation with the other founding members and the elected management”. As a result, SAMER’s work is “disrupted by e-mail communications from Mr Pîrlea, who refuses to physically appear before those who have registered their membership of SAMER,” the press release added.

At the meeting of 7-8 September 2023, which took place in Sovata, the majority of the members, as well as those who have applied for membership of SAMER, decided by vote to convene a General Assembly in order to definitively resolve the SAMER situation..
