Schneider Electric Romania has built the entire electricity management system of the largest logistics warehouse in South-Eastern Europe, located at km 19 of the A1 motorway, operated by Emag.
“For the building with an area of 126,000 square meters, with specific operating requirements, the solutions proposed by Schneider Electric responded to a set of needs of the beneficiary, starting from maximum electricity availability and reducing downtime, to monitoring consumption in order to reduce possible losses. The warehouse, highly technological, allows the beneficiary to ensure an even shorter time for the delivery of the orders it receives.
By working closely with the warehouse builder, Baupartner Construct and understanding the value of time and the importance of keeping fixed costs as low as possible, Schneider Electric has managed to leverage the performance of the EcoStruxure solution, including the advanced degree of digitalization it allows,” Schneider officials said.
“We have come to value automation and digitalization more and more lately and to understand their benefits, not only the economic ones, but also the ones aimed at ease of use,” said Lucian Enaru, General Manager of Schneider Electric Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
“Especially for such logistics centers, which provide services with drastic time limits, the digitization of electrical installations is extremely important; it supports maintenance activities and reduces the risk of unplanned power outages. We have been privileged, in this situation, to have a common dialogue with both the beneficiary and the builder, all of whom understand that for a new construction of this magnitude to be viable for a long time, we must look to the future when we equip it.
