The Cupra brand of Seat will be present at the Auto Show which starts in Frankfurt on September 10 with a full-electric concept called Tavascan. It is the first of six electric models and hybrid plug-ins that the Seat brand wants to launch in the coming years. In Geneva, in the spring, Cupra presented a concept called Formentor that will become a standard car next year.
Tavascan is named after a resort in Catalonia, near the border with France, according to Hotnews.ro.
The car has two electric motors, one in front and one in the back, and the total power is 225 kW (306 hp). The car reaches 100 km/ h in 6.5 seconds and is built on the MEB platform, developed by Volkswagen for electric cars. The battery is 77 kwh and the promised autonomy is of 450 km, according to WLPT norms. The battery is similar to the Volkswagen’s ID 3.
