Monsson, one of the largest local developers of wind and solar projects, is to build a factory this year for the production and assembly of components for the renewable industry near the former Petrila Mine.
The investment amounts to 10 million euros, of which 70% represents co-financing through the Just Transition Program according to Sebastian Enache, head of M&A, Monsson, quoted by zf.ro.
“For 2025, we plan to build a factory for the production and assembly of components for the renewable industry near the former Petrila Mine. We have accessed the Just Transition Program and with a 70% co-financing we will build this factory starting this year, in June/July. The total value of the investment amounts to 10 million euros,” said Sebastian Enache.
“It is a project around which we have gathered several companies from the industry. We came with the know-how, we come with the investment and I hope that by the end of the year we will have something functional in the industrial area. In the first phase, we will probably have 50-70 new jobs, and the area will develop. The investment is 10 million euros. We tried to bring a large investment there that will revitalize the area. We will make 3 concepts – we will build the factory – the financing contract is signed, the construction permit will be obtained in June. Then we will build a hub where the authorities in the area can have a headquarters.”
