Romelectro will begin next summer the construction of Romgaz natural gas power plant in Iernut, together with Spanish company Duro Felguera. The thermal power plant will be completed and operational at the end of 2019, says the general manager of Romelectro, Cristian Secoşan.
He said that in January 2017 will begin the design phase of the power plant and, depending on permits and authorizations, it is estimated that works will start in June-July 2017.
He added that the project in Iernut will account for up to 50% of the company’s business in 2018.
“The main equipment and basic engineering will be provided by Duro Felguera and Romelectro will handle construction-assembly of the detail engineering and supply of additional equipment,” said Secosan, according to Bursa.
Romelectro Group is a contractor, developer and investor in projects of thermal power, hydropower, transmission and distribution of electricity, environment and industry.
Romelectro is composed of four Romanian companies – Romelectro SA, The Institute for Studies and Power Engineering (ISPE), CELPI and Electromontaj Carpathians Sibiu – which is the majoritarily owned by Romelectro.
