The new law on offshore wind farms provides for a maximum subsidy of 25 euros / MWh, according to the draft submitted to the Chamber of Deputies. The new bill was tacitly adopted by the Senate, notes e-nergia.ro.
Thus, the future law stipulates that “the value obtained from the cumulation of the premium with the market price of electricity may not exceed 60 euro/MWh”, and “if the energy price exceeds 35 euro/MWh, the premium is reduced accordingly” .
In addition to the premium, “a compensation for balancing costs, amounting to 20 euro/MWh, for 20 years from the connection to the network” will be added.
Thus, for 20 years a project could receive, theoretically, 45 euro/MWh produced.
