Sector remains attractive and its growing tendency for the next years, although some legislative changes leading to mitigate the level of investments.
Romania is focusing on increasing renewable energy capacity in order to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel resources and investment in the renewable sector is still developing. At the end of 2013 wind power installed capacity was 2,500 MW and more than 1,100 MW in solar. At the end of 2013, installed capacity was 2500 MW in wind farms and 1100 MW in solar technology. The Minister of Energy has announced his encouragement for investments in 2014 strengthening solar and photovoltaic, biomass and micro hydro projects.
Competent, reliable service provider for PV/photovoltaic investments
In 2013, SGS attended the 6th International Trade Fair and Conferences for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, a similar REECO & RENEXPO-organized event held in Bucharest in November 2013. Though, this marks the first SGS appearance in Arad.
SGS is a competent, reliable service provider as well as a solid and trustworthy partner for both owners and lenders. SGS Industrial Services electrical supervision team in Romania successfully assisted in connecting more than 100 PV stations in seven counties located in the southwest of the country to the distribution network and the National Energy System.
