SIPEX, one of the largest distributors of construction materials in Romania, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the AeRO market, with 27 years of activity in this segment, announces the conclusion of a strategic partnership with Menlo Electric, one of the market leaders in the supply of components for photovoltaic plants. Through this partnership, SIPEX intends to deliver a complete package for photovoltaic projects consisting of solar panels, storage batteries, inverters and cables.

“SIPEX has a clear strategy of organic growth and development by expanding the range of complementary products and by permanently adapting the portfolio to market opportunities. The partnership concluded with Menlo Electric supports all those who want to make the transition to sustainable energy, including by accessing the “Casa Verde 2024″ program. We have national coverage and together with Menlo Electric, one of the largest photovoltaic solution providers in Europe, relying on their experience and support from a technical and logistical point of view, we will offer complete solutions for the production of solar energy through all channels our sales – traditional retail, B2B and online,” said Irinel Gheorghe, CEO, SIPEX.

“Collaboration with SIPEX, one of the largest players in the construction materials distribution market in Romania, with a strong sales team, will allow us to facilitate access to high-quality equipment for photovoltaic plants, thus contributing to the development of renewable energy in the country. Menlo Electric has experienced rapid and significant growth in the PV industry, success based on our international expansion strategy and strong partnerships with reputable suppliers. We estimate that the year 2025 will bring a significant increase in solar energy in the region and through such partnerships we are ready to meet the demand,” added Adrian Stan, Country Manager for Romania and the Balkans, Menlo Electric.

SIPEX – partnerships and products

In the last two years, SIPEX has continued to expand its product range by concluding a partnership with Policolor-Orgachim, leader in Southeast Europe in the field of paint and varnish technology, and Teraplast, the largest polymer processor in Central and Eastern Europe for distribution of a complete underfloor heating system, calibrated to current consumer needs, developed by the company under the NeoTer brand.

SIPEX offers technical consulting services and has the ability to represent and promote the products of a new supplier on the Romanian market both on the commercial and technical side, as well as in terms of logistics and distribution.

The company operates with an integrated business model, organized in three business lines: sale and distribution of construction materials and finishes, services (technical consultancy) and sale of colored finished products.

Distribution is carried out through three channels: traditional retail – stores of various sizes, except DIY (Do It Yourself), with sales through dedicated agents; the B2B (corporate) market segment – construction companies, developers, public or private institutions, teams of craftsmen and individuals, who build themselves or renovate their properties and their own online store – soon with mobile app, tablet and laptop.

Throughout its 27 years of activity, SIPEX has built long-term partnerships, has approximately 300 employees, owns 12 logistics centers and a fleet of 191 vehicles with an integrated business model. SIPEX was listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in the AeRO market on June 3, 2022, following a private placement through which it attracted 10.6 million lei from 54 Investors, and starting from March 20, 2023, SIPEX shares entered the index structure BETAeRO.

Menlo Electric is EMEA’s fastest growing supplier of leading brand PV modules, inverters, batteries and accessories. It operates in over 40 markets globally.
