New Kopel Car Import, part of SIXT Group Romania, has become the importer of buses and BYD electric vehicles for our country. BYD is the largest manufacturer and seller of electric cars and buses around the world, with over 100,000 electric vehicles sold annually.
According to a press release from SIXT Group Romania, BYD buses are unique due to their high autonomy, AC charging capacities which mean reduced infrastructure and charging costs, extended battery and system warranty, efficient regeneration / braking performance and quality modern buses.
SIXT Group Romania will develop a strong sales concept with all components (spare parts warehouse, services, task force etc), and full day availability. “For SIXT Group Romania, which has been active in Romania for 15 years, this is a strategic partnership that brings us closer to the future and allows us to expand our range of services,” said Tal Lahav, CEO of SIXT Group Romania. He announced the company plans to develop a long-term partnership with BYD. “We will have sales and after-sales activities to help into a better assimilation, education and understanding of the importance of e-transportation solutions in Romania,” says Tal Lahav, in the above mentioned press release.
BYD has delivered over 40,000 electric buses around the world, has a significant European presence, with production facilities in both Hungary and France, as well as many buses running in Italy, England, the Netherlands, Israel and many other countries. BYD buses range from 8.7 meters, 10.8 meters, 12 meters articulated buses, 13 meters buses and 18 meters articulated buses.
