A Nuclearelectrica (SNN) delegation recently visited the Doosan Enerbility headquarters in Changwon, as part of the delegation led by the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, with the aim of researching Doosan’s advanced SMR production capabilities.
The visit had in mind the development of bilateral relations of collaboration and technological exchange between Romania and its strategic partners. The visit included tours of the forging and nuclear workshops and reviewed facilities vital to SMR production.
“The SMR project in Romania benefits from the highest level of nuclear security and technological robustness. Doosan Enerbility, with its internationally recognized experience in the production of nuclear equipment and advances in SMR technologies, contributes significantly to ensuring that, by the end of the 2030s, Romania becomes a point of reference in the implementation of advanced nuclear technologies and projects efficient long-term clean energy,” said Cosmin Ghiță, CEO of SN Nuclearelectrica.
He also highlighted the benefits of collaboration for the Romanian and Korean nuclear industries, including the acceleration of cooperation and value chain development.
