Romania’s subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s national oil company, SOCAR, opened its second gas station in Bucharest, which also allows charging of electric cars. With the new investment, SOCAR reaches 36 power stations in Romania, according to a company press release.
“The gas station is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, it has environment-friendly equipment, electric car refueling station, jetwash (with self-service), provides tax and bridge charging (Fetesti bridge), terminal for invoices and utilities payment, recharging pre-pay phone cards and others,” says a Socar release.
Customers can find, as in other SOCAR food stations, traditional Azerbaijan cuisine products – coffee and pomegranate juice, as well as other food and non-food or car accessories. SOCAR currently holds fuel stations in the following counties in Romania: Botosani, Suceava, Neamt, Iasi, Bihor, Bistrita, Buzau, Bacau, Vrancea, Timis, Ilfov, Cluj, Valcea, Arad, Sibiu, Arges and Bucharest.
Socar is the natural gas oil company owned by Azerbaijan. Since 2011, the company has been involved in Romania through SOCAR Petroleum S.A. And by creating and strengthening a gas network at national level. Thus, the company currently has a network of 36 power stations. So far, the company has created about 450 jobs and has invested more than 64 million euros in Romania.
