Black Sea Oil & Gas (BSOG) has booked 90% of the gas capacity at the national transport system (SNT) in Vadu, starting February 1, 2021, according to sources in the energy sector.

“Following the deployment of the engaging stage of the incremental capacity process for the entry point in SNT (national transport system), expected to be created in the area of Vadu, Constanta County, SNTGN Transgaz SA informs that the applicant did not exercise the right to unilaterally terminate of the contract of carriage concluded up to the date of confirmation, thus making the contract firm. In this context, SNTGN Transgaz SA announces that the capacity booking process at the expected point of entry into the system from the Black Sea NTA – PM VADU – engagement stage, has been successfully concluded,” says an announcement posted on the Transgaz website, according to Agerpres.

The name of the companies that reserve capacity in the SNT is confidential, but according to Agerpres, the company that booked capacity at the Vadu entry point is Black Sea Oil & Gas, the only one that has taken the final investment decision to extract gas from the Black Sea.

Thus, it reserved 90% of the entry point capacity in the SNT from February 1, 2021 to October 1, 2024. After that, reserved capacity gradually decreases to 1.77%, until 2035.

Black Sea Oil & Gas is, at the same time, the only Black Sea investor who has reserved transport capacity in offshore pipelines into the SNT.
