Around 100 invitees attended on Thursday to the Spring Cocktail 2014 – the top executives’ reunion for the Romanian energy market. The guests discussed the tendencies in the local and regional industry on the background of European change of paradigm and political turmoil in Ukraine. From Vienna University of Economics and Business, Alexander Damev announced a novative instruction MBA program dedicated to the managers in the Romanian energy industry.
The audience was formed mainly of top managers of the main players in Romania, among which John L. Knapp (ExxonMobil), Daniel Răduț (CEZ Romania), Ștefan Doru Bucătaru (Transelectrica), Mircea Tarta-Arsene (Honeywell Romania), Gehrig Schultz (Prospecțiuni), Richard Prior și Remus Lăzăreanu (Monsson).
They were joined by audit and consultancy officials such as Sorin Faur (BDO) și Valentin Ionescu (Institutul OrdoLiberal), and also lawyers specialized in energy field and managers of companies in the services sector: Radu Simion (Wolf Theiss), Mihaela Sârbu (SGS România), Adrian Marcu (ICAP), Andrei Rădulescu (SSIF Broker).
The evening was opened with launching the energynomics.ro Magazine’s first number in 2014. Another 184 pages, fully bilingual format and attractive design, capturing the trends and essential themes in the Romanian energy industry: news, analyses and opinion from personalities directly involved in the decision of the regulators and the most dynamic companies. “I like to believe it is more than a simple magazine – it is the story of energy sector in Romania told every three months, in an international format… a story told by the main actors of the sector”, said Sergiu Spătaru, managing partner with WMEC and the publisher of the energynomics.ro Magazine.

One of the governing ideas of the year is that flexibility is the only way to survive a dynamic and ever changing environment.
