Teraplast (TRP) is in talks with companies, both in Romania and abroad, for M&A operations (mergers and acquisitions), aiming to complete, this year, 1-3 transactions, said Alexandru Stânean, general manager of the company, in a press conference.

M&A operations are an integral part of the Group’s development strategy. “We always have discussions, some more advanced, some less so. My expectation was that we would be able to sign a transaction at the end of last year. Unfortunately, there were delays. But, I don’t see any circumstances so that, this year, we don’t announce some M&A operations,” said Alexandru Stânean, according to financialintelligence.ro.

He added that this is about one to three transactions, in order to be able to process them.

Aleaxandru Stânean said that, in the company’s shareholders, there are now very big names of worldwide investors: “We cannot reveal them, for reasons of confidentiality, but there are very big worldwide names, which have joined Teraplast shareholding. Our investor relations activity has also intensified due to this (e.n. promotion in the FTSE indices). Last year, we had meetings, both events in Romania and abroad, including with a physical presence, in order to stay close to our shareholders and potential investors of large caliber.”

The turnover of the TeraPlast Group (TRP), related to the financial year 2021, increased by 55%, to 615 million lei – a record result in the current structure of the Group, according to a release sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Net profit (which does not include the impact of 2021 exits) rose by 50% to 44.6 million lei.
