The European regulations regarding the electricity market will be applied in Romania regardless of the interpretations of the Government or the national regulatory authorities, said the executive director of Enel Group, Francesco Starace, on the evolution of the implementation in Romania of the legislation regarding the liberalization of the electricity price.
“The evolution of the application of the European regulations in Romania does not surprise us at all, it is the normal evolution of the regulations within the adopted European direction. So, frankly, the European directives apply to the EU Member States, and the Governments of the Member States interpret those directives in different ways, but in the end the result is generally the same,” said the executive director of the Enel Group, quoted by Agerpres.
He appreciated that governments and authorities are independent in deciding how they want the application of European energy market law to evolve, but only within European regulations.
