The Environmental Fund Administration – AFM announced that between January 25 and March 1, 2019, it expects the companies’ files to be validated as installers in the program to install PV systems at final consumers. After the validation stage, the list of validated installers will be published on the institution’s website – www.afm.ro.

Only after that people interested will be able to choose among the validated installers the one with whom they want to enter into a contract. The AFM covers 90% of the eligible expenses, up to 20,000 lei. The final beneficiary will cover the rest of the costs.

The eligibility criteria for installer validation, the contents of the validation dossier to be submitted, and other related information can be found in the Financing Guide of the program, available at www.afm.ro.

The installer will purchase the necessary equipment, will prepare all the necessary technical documentation and will install the PV system. The validation dossier will be submitted to the AFM headquarters “with ordered pages and a summery, in a file, within sealed envelope”, and must include 11 documents: a request, a mandate, five certificates, an attestation and three supporting documents.

This AFM program aims to increase energy efficiency, improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using photovoltaic panels to produce the electricity needed for households own consumption and to encourage delivering the surplus in the national energy grid.
