Chimcomplex, the largest chemical complex producing polyols in Eastern Europe, announces that Ștefan Vuza has retired from the position of general manager as of October 31, 2023. At the same time, the company has launched recruitment procedures (including at the international level) and appointment of a new general manager in the next 6 months.

Ștefan Vuza took over the executive management of the company for a limited term, in order to ensure the continuity and development of the company’s activity in an unstable geopolitical and socio-economic context, marked by numerous crises and unknowns, according to focus-energetic.ro.

“Following the fact that Ștefan Vuza has fulfilled his proposed objectives, ensuring the company’s adaptation to new and constant challenges, as a natural step, Ștefan Vuza has decided that it is time to focus on the company’s overall development strategy from the position of a member of the Board of Directors, and the executive function will be exercised separately”, according to an announcement sent by the company to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

Florian Staicu was appointed as interim general manager, for a period of 6 months starting on November 1, 2023, until the recruitment and selection process is completed.

“Florian Staicu is already part of the company’s management team and has the experience, the resources and the qualities to take over this interim position and to ensure an easy and efficient transition”, the press release states.

Chimcomplex has a market capitalization on BVB of 5.73 billion lei.

It is the largest chemical products complex, with 2 industrial platforms in Oneşti and Râmnicu Vâlcea. Chimcomplex is a company with a tradition of almost 70 years.
