E.ON Romania and the partner institutions have organized the 5th edition of Energy Challenge, a competition for energy projects this year under the theme of Energy Efficiency & Optimization Network, Green Energy, Digital & Smart and Customer Products / Services.
Team Atlas from „Stefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, the winning team of the Energy Challenge 2019, was awarded a prize worth 3,000 euro. Best rated by the jury of energy specialists, Project Flora is a garden irrigation control system for gardens and greenhouses using a sensor system connected to a microcomputer that allows real-time viewing and control of the garden.
The DC District of the Technical University of Cluj ranked second, and proposed a new off-grid charging model for electric vehicles based on integrated solar energy through a DC micro-network. The 3D printer prototype for parts / components from several industrial sectors has brought the 3D Creativity team from UMFST Tirgu Mures the 3rd place.
