The turnover of TeraGlass, TeraPlast Group’s thermo-insulating division, increased by 26% in 2018, while 90% of the production capacity of the company was functional.
More than 70% of turnover comes from export activity, with TeraGlass products reaching last year to 12 European countries, such as Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia or Slovakia. In fact, 60% of TeraGlass customers are from abroad. In Romania, TeraGlass products are sold mainly in DIY stores.
“TeraGlass’ distribution network has grown to over 500 stores on a monthly basis… TeraGlass products are valued on the foreign market, and ongoing investments will help us meet the upward demand on the domestic and foreign markets,” said Lorant Sas, TeraGlass’ general manager.
With over 10 years of experience in the field, TeraGlass, located in Bistrita, produces PVC windows and doors, panels and ornamental panels and aluminum garments, with an annual capacity of over 120,000 units. Currently, the company has 125 employees.
In order to expand production capacity, in 2018, TeraGlass started a project financed by the state aid scheme, totaling 3.5 million euros. The project aims to create a completely new, fully automated flow for the production of PVC windows and doors, a process that will help increase production capacity and increase labor productivity while meeting the increasing demand.
