Termoenergetica sent an address to the Capital City Hall, but also to the General Council, drawing attention to the debts of 800 million lei that PMB has accumulated.
The general director of the company, Claudiu Crețu, stated that of this debt, 300 million lei represent current invoices.
“It is an address that was sent to the City Hall, to the ministries, to the general councilors, so as to draw attention to the critical financial situation in which the Municipal Thermal Energy Company finds itself and to the fact that urgent solutions are needed, especially as we are approaching the month of October, when we will have to let the heat go, to resume the supply of heating in the city. (…) Our obligation was to inform the General Council, because it is the shareholder of this company,” stated Claudiu Crețu, according to Agerpres.
He mentioned that the general mayor of the Capital, Nicuşor Dan, is looking for solutions for this problem.
“Mr. Mayor, the town hall is looking for solutions to borrow, to obtain financing, to pay these debts”, said the director of Termoenergetica.
According to him, if the situation is not resolved, there is a risk of the company becoming insolvent.
“There is this risk, if the debts are not paid. Unfortunately, there is this risk, yes”, emphasized Claudiu Crețu.
In his turn, PSD municipal councilor Adrian Vigheciu referred to the address sent by Termoenergetica.
“The situation at Termoenergetica has become dramatic. In a new desperate notice sent to the Capital City Hall, the company’s representatives practically announce bankruptcy and the fact that Bucharest will be left without heat and hot water in the winter. Termoenergetica’s debts exceed 800 million lei, and PMB’s debts to them exceed 300 million lei. If General Mayor Nicusor Dan continues to sleep on it or pretend it’s raining, we will have the worst and most shameful winter in the last 30 years,” he wrote on Facebook.
