The Bucharest Municipal Thermal Energy Company (CMTEB) has signed with Energofor the contract for the lease of five modular heat generation capacities in the former CET TITAN location, in order to ensure an additional source of thermal energy in the North-East area of Bucharest. This additional source of thermal energy production is a temporary solution, until the implementation of an investment project by the landowner, Titan Power Company.
The contract was concluded for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 36 months, its value being of about 13 million lei without VAT. According to the signed document, all services related to the rental of modular heat and additional water generation capacities, namely the installation, installation, design, obtaining the necessary permits and authorizations for the commissioning of the facilities, as well as the supervision, maintenance, staff training, are to be carried out by the economic operator.
The modular capacities will have an installed thermal power ranging between 30 Gcal/ h and 60 Gcal/ h, depending on the setting diagram, in the winter season and 10 Gcal/ h and 15 Gcal/ h in the summer season. The need for additional (treated) water to fill the volume lost in the CMTEB primary heating networks will be 50 tons/ h. Their installation will be carried out on the site of Ion Sahighian Street no. 4 in sector 3 and will be connected to utilities (electricity, natural gas, cold water – drinking/ raw – and sewerage), as well as to the pipes that make up the primary network, under operation by CMTEB.
