The CFO of CEZ in Romania will lead the group’s business in Bulgaria

Karel Kral, for three years CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of CEZ Romania, was appointed as the country manager of CEZ Bulgaria, writes zf.ro. He will also be chairman of the Executive Board in Bulgaria.

Before activating in Romania, Karel Kral was CFO and COO (Chief Operations Officer) of the subsidiary CEZ Albania, says Bursa. Deputy Financial Director of CEZ in Romania, Dan Malinici, will temporarily occupy the position previously held by Karel Kral.

CEZ has a decade of presence on the Romanian energy market through the privatization of Electrica Oltenia in 2005, currently distributing and providing electricity to 1.4 million customers in Oltenia.

Karel Kral will direct the five Bulgarian subsidiary of CEZ. The Czech company was accused this year by the Bulgarian authorities of abusing its dominant position and was fined by the competition authorities in Sofia, reminds zf.ro.
