In the context of limited electricity grids, flexibility becomes essential for the efficient operation of the energy system. A key solution is the aggregator, a commercial operator that coordinates various energy resources, participates in the balancing market and integrates digital solutions to optimise consumption and production, said Olivian Savin, Technical Manager, Nano Energies.
“We are seeing a steady income of several tens of thousands of euros per year just from reserving capacity on the balancing market,” he said at the conference “Romanian Energy Market – Facts of 2025”.
By integrating technologies such as biogas plants, cogeneration, biomass, hydro, batteries and compressors, the aggregator helps to maintain the balance between production and consumption, ensuring grid stability.

Basically, the aggregator works like a virtual power plant, bringing together multiple energy sources and optimising their use according to the demand on the grid. This approach not only helps to reduce imbalances, but also allows participants to earn additional revenues by providing system services.
Nano Energies operates in several countries, including Romania, and works with a team of 50 experts, including IT specialists, analysts and traders
