The private equity fund managed by Abris Capital has acquired Eltex Recycling, a company active in the field of waste management systems, a subsidiary of a Hungarian company.

Therefore, Abris bought, through a company of the Romanian holding company Green Group, the owner of the largest integrated recycling park in south-east Europe, the Romanian business of the Hungarian company Eltex, a business of over 26 million lei, according to Profit.ro.

Abris bought Green Group from Global Finance in 2016, a company that brings together six waste recycling services and is the second largest producer of regenerated fiber in Europe.

In 2018, according to the latest data available, Eltex Recycling, based in Oradea, had a turnover of 26.6 million lei and a net profit of 4.3 million lei, with 138 employees, the highest figures since its launch. Green Group, controlled by Abris, through which the transaction is carried out, has an installed recycling capacity of over 460,000 tons annually.
