The number of job vacancies was of 34,200 in the second quarter of 2020 (Q2), down 7,600 from the previous quarter, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics released on Wednesday.
Compared to the same quarter of 2019, the vacancy rate decreased by 0.40 percentage points and the number of vacancies decreased by 20,800.
The vacancy rate was 0.71%, down 0.13 percentage points from the previous quarter, according to Agerpres.
According to the NIS, in the second quarter of 2020, relatively high rates of job vacancies were registered in public administration (1.93%), health and social assistance (1.48%), entertainment, cultural and recreational activities (1.33%), respectively information and communications (1.32%). The highest rate of job vacancies was found in other service activities (1.97%).
