On November 20, 2024, a significant moment took place for the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation: the change of title, to the Energy Employers’ Federation, but also of the communication symbols.
“The transformation produced reflects a reality of our days: technologies with zero carbon dioxide emissions are increasingly joining technologies based on conventional fuels.
“It is certain that investments in this area are necessary and welcome, regardless of the future pace of development of renewable energy, and the Energy Employers’ Federation will continue to support the existence of a national energy mix as rich as possible,” say the officials of the former FPPG, currently FPE.
“Romania has important resources, from natural gas to vegetable matter for biomethane, from oil to areas suitable for voltaic and wind farms, and their exploitation means Romania’s secure energy supply.
The Energy Employers’ Federation believes that we must continue to pursue the country’s energy independence goal, by producing sufficient amounts of energy, using all this multitude of resources. Also, the combined use of conventional and renewable technologies will mean affordable energy for an increasing number of Romanians, both in terms of infrastructure conditions and price.
The energy sector is not only required to be diverse, but also to grow, because digitalization and the anticipated development of the industry will require increasing amounts of energy. In order to meet the demands of society, member companies are intensifying their efforts in both directions – both conventional and renewable resources – through significant investments in patents, equipment and personnel qualifications. The private sector’s efforts gain meaning and results in the context of comprehensive, up-to-date legislation, and the Energy Employers’ Federation will continue to be an effective promoter of an adequate legislative framework.”
