The application of the Food Products Price Monitor has been updated so that consumers can compare the price charged by the nearby stores for each desired product, the Competition Council informs. The application includes monitoring of fuel prices.
Until now, the application allowed the price comparison only for a basket containing at least five products. “We have improved the Food Products Price Monitor application to help consumers, during this period when we have to get out of the house as little as possible. Now, the application is easier to use, and consumers can go directly to the store where they identified the product they need, at the best price,” said Bogdan Chiriţoiu, president of the Competition Council.
The Food Price Monitor displays information on approximately 30,000 products sold in over 1,700 stores belonging to Carrefour, Kaufland, Penny, Selgros, Mega Image, Lidl, Cora, Auchan and Profi. Recently, the Supeco network has become a partner of the project.
