The price of electricity decreased by over 30% in July 2020, compared to July 2019, on the market segment for the next day (DAM), according to OPCOM data consulted by energynomics.ro.
Thus, in July 2020, 1.85 TWh were traded on DAM, with 1.3% more than in July 2019, and the average closing price was of about 179 lei/MWh, with almost 31.4% smaller than the mentioned period.
Expressed in euros, the price was almost 33% lower.
On the other hand, the July price shows an upward trend compared to the previous period, as in July 2020, compared to the previous month, on volumes by 7% lower, there were price increases of almost 22.3%, on DAM segment.
The value of transactions in July 2020 was of 336.5 million lei, 12.7% higher than in June 2020, and 32.3% lower than in July 2019.
At the same time, on the intra-day market, with a higher volume by 127%, lower prices were obtained by 25%, in July 2020, compared to the same month of the previous year, and compared to June 2020, the prices were 13.5% higher (expressed in lei). The volume of intra-day transactions in July 2020 was of 6.77 million lei, increasing by 25.6% compared to June 2020.
