The price of electricity increased by over 16% in November 2020, compared to November 2019, on the day ahead market segment (DAM – PZU), according to OPCOM data consulted by energynomics.ro.
Thus, in November 2020, 1.78 TWh were traded on DAM, 11.4% less than in November 2019, and the average closing price was of approximately 237 lei/ MWh, almost 16.37% higher than the mentioned period’s.
Expressed in euro, the price was almost 14% higher.
The November price shows an upward trend of 16% compared to the previous month, on volumes 10% lower.
The value of transactions in November 2020 was of 439.5 million lei, 2.9% higher than in November 2019, and 5.4% higher than in October 2020.
At the same time, on the intra-day market, on a higher volume by 27.7%, prices grew by 58%, in November 2020, compared to the same month of the previous year, while compared to October 2020, prices were 19% higher (expressed in lei). The value of intra-day transactions in November 2020 was of 10.7 million lei, up by 102% compared to November 2020 and slightly increasing, by 1.5%, as compared to October 2020.
