In 2018, over 1,400 eco-vouchers were granted through the Rabla Plus program, deputy prime minister and Environment minister Gratiela Gavrilescu said.
She announced that „Rabla 2019” will start before April 5, and the government has proposed to allocate, as well as last year, funds for up to 50,000 vouchers. The PM Viorica Dăncilă also said that the government will simplify and streamline the First Car program to stimulate the Romanian automotive industry, a program that has not been successful so far.
According to the Environment minister, about 700,000 old cars were put out of use by the Rabla Program, which replaced them by over 550,000 non-polluting models, according to Agerpres. „We have started the programs for financing the national network of fast-loading e-stations, both in the county-based municipalities and on the major roads,” the Environment minister also said.
