The contract for refurbishing Vidraru hydropower plant will last 56 months and the work is estimated at almost 98.5 million euros, with VAT, shows the tender notice issued by Hidroelectrica, the owner of the plant. The deadline for submission of tenders is 1 August and bidders must deposit a biding guarantee of 4.5 million lei (1 million euro).

The remaining percentages are related to the fulfillment of technical and quality parameters on the weighted average yield of the turbine, power range, the efficiency of the generator and the rated output of the turbine.
The contract will assume the design, engineering, project management, execution works – assembly. The resources integrator needs to create a “turnkey” project.
Vidraru hydropower plant was put into operation on December 9, 1966 on the Argeș River. The storage lake has a volume of 465 million cubic meters and average annual production is approximately 400 GWh.
