The Romanian International Gas Conference (RIGC) is a high-level event bringing together a wide range of stakeholders from Member States’ governments and the industry, together with European Institutions’ and energy regulators’ representatives to discuss the role of natural gas in the energy transition and exchange views on the regulatory framework needed to diversify energy imports and ensure the security of supply.
RIGC is a must-attend event to hear national and EU leading decision makers share their views on the EU’s energy security, gas domestic production and diversification of supply.
Key topics
RIGC 2022 will focus on the security of gas supply in view of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In particular, the panels will cover diversification of gas supplies, domestic production of natural gas, the state of existing gas infrastructure, the role of blue hydrogen towards net-zero, and the role of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in decarbonizing hard-to-abate industries.
