The unemployment rate decreased last year to 3.9%, from 4.2% in 2018, and unemployment affected to a greater extent the graduates of lower and secondary education, for which the rate was 6.3%, respectively 4%, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics published on Wednesday.
On the other hand, the unemployment rate for people with higher education was much lower, at 1.6% in 2019, according to Agerpres.
INS data show that the unemployment rate had the highest level (16.18%) among young people (15-24 years).
