Thermal energy production prices approved by ANRE increase by up to 96%

The Energy Regulatory Authority ANRE has approved the new prices for the production of thermal energy.

The price increases of thermal energy are up to 96% compared to last year, a situation encountered in Bârlad. Thermal energy production prices grew by more than 90% in Botosani, Oradea and Arad, and price increases of over 80% are set for several cities, including Bucharest.

Thus, the largest increases will be in Oradea, Arad and Bârlad, according to Digi 24. Thus, the thermal agent delivered by SC Rulmenţi SA Bârlad becomes 96% more expensive, from 158 lei to 310 lei.

Termoficare Oradea will deliver gigacalories with an increase of 95%, from 160 lei to 313 lei, and CET Arad with 95% more, from 163 to 318 lei.

Other large price increases will be at Moderncalor Botosani – 94%; Thermoenergy Group Bacău, Electroenergy Sud Giurgiu and Bepco Braşov, 87% for each plant; West Energo CET Militari, CET Griviţa, Enet Focşani – 86% each.

Instead, the lowest price surges are at CET Craiova (21%) and CET Govora (22%).

For the Capital, ANRE approved an increase of 86.58% of the price of the GC produced by Electrocentrale Bucureşti (Elcen), from 176.55 lei to 329.41 lei. Currently, two thirds of the current GC tariff is borne by the City Hall and only one third by Bucharest residents. It remains to be seen whether Bucharest City Hall will continue to keep this subsidy.
