Think Blu Solutions is developing battery energy storage projects from scratch. These projects total a capacity of over 1 GW, said Cosmin Cheran, General Manager Think Blu Solutions.

“The goal is not to make large-scale storage plants, but we want to build as many batteries as possible in different parts of the country to help the system,” he said at the conference “Battery Energy Storage Systems – BESS Romania”, organised by Energynomics.

Cheran said the appetite is very high and the company he heads is receiving a lot of letters of intent from investors.

“We don’t want to see prices of more than 20,000 euros per MWh for balancing in the market and we want to have these storages to make the system as competitive as possible,” Mr Cheran said.
