Transelectrica has announced the partial commissioning of the new 400 kV Reșița substation as part of the Reșița substation upgrading project. “This stage will allow starting tomorrow the entry into commercial operation of a circuit of the Reșița (RO) – Pancevo (RS) 400 kV overhead interconnection 400 kV overhead power line, as well as of the 400 kV overhead power line Porțile de Fier – (Anina) – Reșița,” the company’s statement said.
“The entry into commercial operation of the interconnection line with Serbia increases the interconnection capacity by up to 300 MW.”
The refurbishment works of the Reșița Transformer Station, carried out by Siemens Energy SRL, Electrogrup SA and Retrasib SA, will be fully completed in the first quarter of 2025.
