At the beginning of this week, Transelectrica “received the modernization works of the Roman Nord Transformation Power Station, an investment of 17 million lei, made from its own funds,” the company reports. The investment objective contributes to the consolidation of the energy infrastructure in the area of Moldova. The works were executed by Romelectro SA, with subcontractor Electroconstrucția ELCO Iași.
The National Electricity Transmission Company Transelectrica SA has as a priority the continuous modernization of the electric transmission network by carrying out an extensive investment plan to ensure the safe operation of the National Energy System and implicitly, to ensure the supply of users in the best conditions, without interruptions.
The completion of the Roman Nord substation completes the major refurbishment project of the 400 kV Moldova Axis, together with the Bacău Sud, Gutinaș and Suceava substations, refurbished in previous stages. Through the modernization process of Roman Nord Station, started in 2018, advanced technological standards have been implemented that facilitate automated remote operation in safe conditions.
The objective of the investment was to replace the physically and morally used equipment with some performance and the execution of the works for the integration of the station in the Center for Telecontrol and Installation Supervision. Thus, Roman Nord Station is representative for the projects carried out by Transelectrica through the solutions of primary and secondary equipment adopted, all of the latest generation, at the highest level of quality and reliability.
