Ioan Marcel Boloș, Minister of European Funds, and Bogdan Grecia, member of the Transelectrica Board of Directors, discussed today the involvement of Transelectrica in the projects undertaken by Romania through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which has an allocation of about 31 billion euro.
Thus, Transelectrica proposed the inclusion in PNRR of some investment projects of national and European importance, including, among others, the construction of 400 kV power lines in the western part of the country, together with the refurbishment of some stations in this area, Resita and Arad (Banat axis), the construction of the 400 kV power line of major importance for the northeastern part of the country, Gădălin-Suceava, a pilot project – digitalization of Alba Iulia station – the first digital station of Transelectrica and modernization of Pelicanul station, responsible for evacuation energy in the area of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant.
These projects, which are part of the closure of the 400 kV ring, cost approximately 1.7 billion lei, and their completion will lead to increased safety in the operation of the national energy system, to the healthy development of the electricity transmission network and not lastly to the interoperability of networks, according to financialintelligence.ro.
