Transelectrica’s profit registered an increase of 28% in 2019, to 104.4 million lei, according to the preliminary financial report. The company achieved revenues from the transport service of 1.08 billion lei, in 2019, compared to 1.07 billion, in 2018. The year 2019 was a difficult one, characterized by high costs with the operation of the transport system, especially the costs with the procurement of electricity to compensate for the technical losses in the network, says the company report.

In 2019, the Company achieved a 25% higher operating profit compared to 2018 due to a 13% decrease in total operating costs (including depreciation), offsetting a 12% decrease in operating revenues, according to financialintelligence.ro.

The revenues from transport and other activities on the energy market advanced (+ 1%) due to the increase of the average transport tariff (+ 2%) practiced in 2019 compared to 2018 and also due to the growth by 2.5 million lei of the revenues from the interconnection, these increases being mainly determined by the surge of the regulated tariffs applicable to the reporting period.
