SNTGN Transgaz posted a 249% bigger net profit after the first half of this year (H1), compared to the same period last year, from 70,8 to 176.4 million lei according to the half-yearly report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
“Compared to the achievements on June 30, 2023, the consolidated gross profit achieved on June 30, 2024 registers an increase of 238%, respectively by 129,300 thousand lei, and the consolidated net profit registers an increase of 249%, respectively by 105,551 thousand lei. The variation of economic indicators – consolidated financials on June 30, 2024, compared to those achieved in the similar period of 2023, is mainly determined by the variation of the individual economic-financial indicators recorded by SNTGN Transgaz SA on June 30, 2024 compared to those achieved in the similar period of 2023” , it is stated in the document.
Between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024, the company Vestmoldtransgaz SRL from the Republic of Moldova provided natural gas delivery services worth 77.2 million lei.
The revenues from the exploitation activity before the balancing and construction activity according to IFRIC12 register an increase of 134% compared to the revenues realized on June 30, 2023, reaching one billion lei.
Operating expenses before balancing and construction activity according to IFRIC12 register an increase of 118% compared to June 30, 2023, their level being 848.6 million lei.
Since 2018, following the acquisition of Vestmoldtransgaz SRL from the Republic of Moldova by Eurotransgaz SRL, Transgaz, as the parent company, prepares consolidated financial statements of the group.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) became, starting on August 25, 2021, associated with a 25% stake in the share capital of the natural gas transport company Vestmoldtransgaz SRL (VMTG), Transgaz subsidiary from the Republic of Moldova. In September 2023, VMTG took over from Moldovatransgaz SRL the operation, exploitation, dispatching and transportation of natural gas from the Republic of Moldova.
