The National Natural Gas Transport Company Transgaz posted a consolidated net profit increasing by 33% after the first half of this year, to 177.278 million lei, and a turnover increasing by 47.48%, to 1.178 billion lei, according to the Report sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Operating income before balancing and construction activity stood at 703.921 million lei, a slight increase compared to the same period last year, and operating expenses before balancing and construction activity were 667.242 million lei (plus 17%).

Revenues from the balancing activity amounted to 540,476, up by 280%, similar to the expenditure on balancing gases.

The amount of gas transported decreased to 6.473 billion cubic meters (minus 12.2%), compared to the corresponding period in 2021.

The value of the Investment Modernization and Development Program for the year 2022, initially approved in the revenue and expenditure budget, was of 398.651 million lei, according to the Decision of the Administrative Council no. 39/2021, but it was later reduced to 254.869 million lei, according to CA Decision no. 13/2022, it is stated in the document cited by Agerpres.

At the end of the first semester of 2022, the value of PMDI achievements was of 77.745 million lei. The structure of the Investment Modernization and Development Program was as follows: 81% works in progress, 10% works in acquisition, 5% unsolicited works, 3% completed works and 1% works in design.

The company’s stock market capitalization on June 30 was 2.71 billion lei (approximately 548 million euros), respectively 94 million lei (approximately 18 million euros) below the level recorded on January 3, 2022.

Transgaz holds the monopoly status in natural gas transport in Romania and transports around 90% of the total natural gas consumed.
