Transgaz claims that work at BRUA is accelerating, and the deadline for completion is kept on for December 31, 2019.
Transgaz also says workers from Ukraine, Macedonia, Montenegro and Turkey have been brought and that there are currently more than 5,000 people on construction sites, according to hotnews.ro.
“The works on BRUA gas pipeline project – Phase I continue, these being even accelerated and the deadline for completion remained unchanged. We have the licenses for Podişor – Tuzla. About 80% of the pipe required for the 430 km pipeline has already been brought to the country and is on site, on land and in warehouses. The companies brought workers from Ukraine, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey. There are over 5,000 people on construction sites.
Phase I of the BRUA project is an investment worth 478.6 million euros, for which the European Union has awarded a 179 million euro grant for the pipeline. Estimated functioning and start date is 31 December 2019,” Transgaz officials say.
