Transylvania Classic is an event dedicated to classic vehicles and electric cars. This year, from August 8-10, the regularity competition attracted a record number of crews, including 39 electric cars. In addition, on September 13 and 14, starting from Oktoberfest, an ecoRegularity race is scheduled to promote sustainable mobility.
The route is about 200 km long – “the most beautiful roads in Brasov County” – and will be covered over two days. “In the first edition, we had three electric cars at the start, but on the second day they didn’t cover the whole route because they didn’t have enough autonomy,” said one of the organizers, Sorin Itu, in an interview with www.zilesinopti.ro. “But a few years later, all the cars can cover the whole route, even without refueling overnight […]. I think it’s the best example of how fast these cars have evolved. Now the challenge is to drive the route with the lowest possible energy consumption and not get too many penalty points,” he added.
All cars participating in the competition will be exhibited at Oktoberfest Brasov on Tower Street, behind Brasov train station, and will benefit from increased visibility throughout the event (presence at the festive start, presence on the podium at the awards ceremony).
The winners will be honoured on Saturday evening on the Oktoberfest Brașov stage in front of an audience of over 10,000 people.
