UGIR proposes to the authorities a package of measures to support companies

The General Union of Industrialists of Romania (UGIR) proposes a package of measures to support companies in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the realocation of European funds for start-ups and SMEs for research, development, innovation and production in medicine and pharmacy.

Other measures proposed by the representatives of the industrialists concern state aid schemes for the payment of the salaries of the employees, for 6-12 months, for the SMEs in difficulty, and the temporary increase by 6 months of the periods of granting the unemployment benefit, according to contributions, according to Agerpres.

“We now understand more than in any other period that we have to support the Romanian business environment, which is why we choose to get involved. We have made a number of proposals that we address to the Romanian Government, because we want a good functioning of the economic activity and overcoming the crisis with minimal damage. We know that market players can suffer, so we aim to support the implementation of various projects with European funds, aid for SMEs, unemployment growth and other measures useful to the Romanian entrepreneurship,” said Mirabela Miron, President of UGIR for the North-East Region.
