As of January 1, universal service prices have been rising masively due to the sharp rise in the price of energy in the market. In the case of Enel, the increase in the bill of consumers still in this situation, about 400,000, is about 70-80%, depending on their area, writes e-nergia.ro. However, household customers will not pay these prices yet, because, until April 1, the capping and compensation mechanism is in place.
In the case of Electrica, the increase in the bill of consumers in this situation, 1.5 million customers, is of about 80%. Electrica Furnizare is the largest supplier of electricity for household customers in Romania and has the most customers still in universal service.
In the case of CEZ, the increase is about 85%.
CEZ Vânzare is the traditional supplier of electricity for household customers in the Oltenia area – Teleorman, Argeș, Olt, Dolj, Gorj and Mehedinți counties. The company has about 475,000 universal domestic customers.
In the case of E.On, the increase is about 58%. E.On has about 700,000 customers in the universal service, writes e-nergia.ro.
