USR submitted, on Thursday, in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, a new motion against the Minister of Energy Virgil Popescu. The motion is also supported by the AUR party, but it has little chance of gathering the necessary votes to be adopted, a fact already signaled by the coalition leaders.
“In accordance with article 112 of the Constitution of Romania and with 189 of the Regulation of the Chamber of Deputies, I submit the motion: “Romania without energy. Romanians are paying the bill for Virgil Popescu’s incompetence”, announced the leader of the USR group, Ionuţ Moşteanu.
AUR leader, deputy George Simion, stated that the party he leads supports this approach, according to Agerpres.
The chairman of the meeting, vice-chairman Daniel Suciu, specified that the motion submitted by the USR will be discussed at the newly established permanent office, after it will be published in the Official Gazette.
The simple motion will be debated in Tuesday’s plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, and the vote will be given on Wednesday, the Permanent Bureau decided on Thursday.
