The Minister of Economy, Energy and Business has sent a message of confidence and responsibility in the context of the emergency decree, announcing that the Executive will prepare a set of economic measures to support the economic companies affected by the crisis generated by the New Coronavirus, emphasizing the fact that the economy needs to move forward.
“We don’t leave anyone behind. Following the many solutions that have been sent to us, we are preparing a set of economic measures to help companies affected by the coronavirus crisis. In the shortest time, a Government meeting will be organized in which we will adopt the set of measures that will support the companies affected by the coronavirus crisis, to support the economy, but especially to protect the citizens, entrepreneurs and everyone among the Romanians. We are fully aware that we are going through a period of crisis that leaves room for interpretations and uncertainties, but I want to emphasize that we will handle this crisis. But I call for calm and for analyzing, coldly, the solutions. The economy must go further, the contracts remain in force, the industry will produce, and all these will be done safely, with the rigorous application of preventive measures,” said Popescu.
The minister asked all those who run companies to be rational in making decisions, in order to offer the state the opportunity to help them. “I ask that all those who run companies should be responsible when making decisions these days so that we can provide the opportunity to help them. To analyze carefully in what situations will appeal to the concept of force majeure, to the decisions to dismiss the employees because, otherwise, we will not be able to implement the solutions we will have. I call for calm, for the functioning of important activities as much as possible, respecting the instructions of the authorities and paying greater attention to the hygiene of the workspaces and the safety of the employees,” said Popescu.
