184 pages of interviews, analysis and opinions, fully bilingual are now available for all interested in the present situation of the Romanian energy industry. The printed edition will also be delivered in the next weeks and we will make sure it will reach, as it has been doing since December 2013, professionals in the energy industry in Romania, the managers of the most active companies and officials from regulatory authorities with responsibilities in the energy sector.

For them, we address topical issues, from the accelerated dynamics in the financial sector, to the latest trends in energy efficiency, from MOL’s investments in Romania, to the new future anticipated by Elcen, from the new image of the Republic of Moldova, to the impact of Hidroelectrica’s listing. The renewables segment dominates this issue, with trends and strategic perspectives, with technological solutions and new business models.

Some ideas

Volker Raffel, CEO E.ON Romania, speaks in an exclusive interview for Energynomics about new trends and the appetite of prosumers, the need to expand and modernise distribution networks, but also about the hydrogen pilot project and sustainable heating. “We are in the middle of a PV boom, which is confirmed by the demand for our solutions, which is growing strongly in both the business and residential segments.”

MOL Group’s objectives are to diversify the customer portfolio and transform the Consumer Services segment into a digital-centric consumer goods retailer and an integrated provider of complex mobility services by 2030, said Camelia Ene, CEO & Country Chair, MOL Romania. “One of our strategic goals is to invest in the devolution of the Consumer Services segment, and the non-oil segment has an important contribution to the economics of the company’s performance,” says the MOL Romania official.

George Niculescu, President of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), explains to Energynomics what policies ANRE is considering to facilitate investment, both in the context of the new wave of renewables and during the fifth regulatory period for transmission and distribution networks. At the same time, George Niculescu presents the status of interconnections and development plans for electricity and gas networks, as well as measures to support prosumers and special cooperation with the Republic of Moldova.
